Nino Has finished mixing the "Guitar Heroes" album which will be released on november 7th. by Sony BMG. This one is really worth listening. The album is packed with great instrumental compositions by frontline guitarists like : Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius), Alexi Laiho ja Roope Latvala (Children of Bodom), Emppu Vuorinen (Nightwish), Esa Holopainen (Amorphis), Sakari Hietala (Tarot), Tuomio (ex-Impaled Nazarene), Euge Valovirta (Godsplague, Suburban Tribe), Mikko Salovaara (Kiuas), Nino Laurenne (Thunderstone) ja Mr. Crab (Bleak)

A strange problem occurred when recording Aris vocals. The scale of his voice is so huge that a total of 4 microphones was needed to capture a single vocal track. record producers and microphone manufacturers were amazed.

Stratovarius kick started recordings for their next studio album. It will be released somewhere in 2008, so the fans shall wait a while.
Thunderstone has finished their new album "Evolution 4.0" which will be released in march. The album was mixed by Jesse Vainio and produced by our man in the studio Nino Laurenne. Thunderstone is also participating the national selections for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest.
Amorphis is currently recording material for the next Amorphis album. No title yet. The band line up is still the same as in"Eclipse" which opened a new era for the band.

Things really started to happen at the Thunderstone demo session when a group of young dudes age 10-13 marched in to the studio. It was a band called School of Rock. One of the boys was the godson of Thunderstone drummer Mirka Rantanen, so with a relief we can say that Mirka is taking care of the spiritual upbringing of his godson. See more pictures here !
Wintersun has arrived at Sonic Pump Studios, to record their 2nd album "Time". They will be working with Nino Laurenne for the next 3 weeks. It will be a theme album containing over 65 minutes of material, and it will be released through Nuclear Blast. Session photos here !
On april 20, 2006 the grand opening party of our new studio was held. The party was launched off at Sonic pump studios, and it kept on rolling to the small hours which we spent at Kaisaniemi restaurant. We want to thank all who were there and specially everyone who helped us to build our fantastic studio.Thanks !
The Pro Tools system of our main control suite (control 1) has been updated to HD3 Accel and the software to version 7. The two 96 I/O’s of control 1 are now accompanied by two Apogee Rosetta 800’s and one RME ADI8 DS. So now this system enables 40 channels (in/out) of extremely high quality interfaces. We also installed a Pro Tools HD3 system to control suite 2, and added there a couple of 96 I/O’s to the rack. So now our control 2 system has 48in/20out of guaranteed Digidesign excellence. Also large numbers of new plug-ins have been added to both systems, such as Sony Oxford Eq, Echofarm, Fairchild 660, Ampfarm, Joe Meek Bundle …etc..etc..
